This week's offer

2 for 1 tickets at The Sage Gateshead for the Ornette Coleman Quartet

We’ve teamed up with The Sage Gateshead to offer Culture Club members the chance to get 2 for 1 tickets for the Ornette Coleman Quartet concert that takes place tonight at 8pm in Hall One.

This concert is a once in a lifetime chance to be in the presence of one of the legends of 20th century jazz. Saxophonist, trumpeter and violinist, Ornette Coleman celebrates his 75th year at The Sage Gateshead - one of only three UK concerts.

The Ornette Coleman Quartet is made up of Ornette Coleman on Alto Sax, Denardo Coleman on Drums and Greg Cohen and Tony Falanga on Bass.

One of the five great innovators in jazz after Armstrong, Parker, Davis and Coltrane - Coleman has always been identified with the 'free jazz' movement of the 1960s, after the album of that name which he recorded in December 1960.
