Tours of the Sculptured Eye

Culture Club members can attend a guided tour of The Sculptured eye at The Art Works Galleries based on Stepney bank in Ouseburn on Thursday, February 5 at 6:30pm. The Sculptured Eye Gallery is a large open-air courtyard for large scale sculptures, murals, graffiti art and installations - one of North East of England’s unique spaces.

The Sculptured Eye at the Art Works Galleries has been transformed with a walk in mural. Culture Club members can join artists John Earl and Norm Morse who created the design, concept and have painted the mural as they take us on a guided tour followed by complementary drinks with the artists.

Come to the Cabaret… Culture Club members can save £5.00 at the Cabaret this New Year at The Sunderland Empire.
Starring TV and dance legend Wayne Sleep in the role of the notorious Emcee and introducing BBC1’s I’d Do Anything finalist Samantha Barks as the legendary Sally Bowles, the multi award winning Cabaret has enjoyed a record breaking run in London’s West End and sees Weimar Berlin of 1931 transformed into a sassy, sizzling haven of decadence. From the creators of the hit musical Chicago, Cabaret features show-stopping choreography, dazzling costumes and some of the most iconic songs in musical theatre including, “Mein Herr”, “Maybe this Time”, “Wilkommen” and of course “Cabaret”.


Dine with the stars

Dine with the stars Culture Club members are invited to rub shoulders with the stars at the Variety Club’s party at Newcastle’s Civic Centre on February 6, to celebrate the illustrious careers of show-biz couple Tim Healy and Denise Welch. There are four pairs of tickets available for members to win.

An array of stars from television, theatre, film, sport and music will be attending the event, including very special guest Dire Straits front man, Mark Knopfler, And ITV’s Loose Women.

The event will feature a delicious four-course lunch, speeches from guests, a film tribute to Tim and Denise and a live auction of unique memorabilia. There will also be a musical finale featuring Tim, Denise and many of the invited guests.


Jack The Ripper Tour

Jack The Ripper Tour Following the success of our ‘Walk on the Dark Side’ tour in November, Culture Club members are invited to take a historic tour of Ouseburn, home to the city's rich industrial past which has been much restored in recent years.

The tour will be a glimpse into the heart of Newcastle's great commercial heritage but with a twist. Members will be transformed to the nineteenth century to Whitechapel in the dark, squalid heart of London's Metropolis where terror lurks in every infested alleyway and the dark shadow of the notorious serial killer 'Jack the Ripper' looms large. The tour will take place on January 24 at 11am.

Exclusive Preview screening for ‘Valkyrie’ Culture Club have 160 places for an exclusive preview screening of ‘Valkyrie’, to be featured at the Empire cinema in The Gate Newcastle on Thursday, January 22 at 6pm.

Directed by Brian Singer and written by Oscar winning writer screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie, Tom Cruise stars with an acclaimed cast including Kenneth Branagh, and Eddie Izzard in this suspense thriller which chronicles the true life ingenious plot to eliminate one of the most evil tyrants the world has ever known.

A proud military man, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg is a loyal officer who loves and serves his country, all the while hoping that someone will find a way to stop Hitler before Europe and Germany are destroyed. Realising that time is running out, he decides that he must take action himself and break his oath of allegiance, joining the German resistance. Armed with a cunning strategy to use Hitler’s own emergency plan – known as Operation Valkyrie – these men plot to assassinate the dictator and overthrow his Nazi government from the inside. With everything in place, with the future of the world, the fate of millions and the lives of his wife and children hanging in the balance, Stauffenberg is thrust from being one of many who oppose Hitler to the one who must kill Hitler himself.

Clive Webb (Captain Crusoe) and Danny Adams (Robinson Crusoe) head the cast in the Theatre Royal’s swashbuckling 3D adventure, alongside one of the most exciting addition to the pantomime this year is an 8ft tall, Giant Robot named Titan which has become a firm favourite with audiences.

An Evening with Andy Abraham Culture Club members have the opportunity to attend an audience with Andy Abraham who won the hearts of over nine million X Factor viewers each week with his incredible vocal talents and endearing personality.
