This week's offer

Waygood

Culture Club members are invited to a reception for paintings by Michael Davies on Thursday, February 4, 6-8pm in the Dickinson Dees Room at Northern Stage.

After a process of sifting, enlarging and translating old photographs into paintings, Michael Davies discovered that the images that began as , snap-shot moments multiplied in their possible readings. Freed from their original context and with the hading of their motives now ambiguous. The minor details from past life became wry meditations on desire and mortality.

Waygood is a contemporary visual art organisation awaiting the redevelopment of its warehouse on High Bridge in to a new cultural venue.
It is running series of exhibitions selected by Northern Stage in their Dickinson Dees Room, while Waygood awaits the completion of its new city centre venue. See www.waygood.org.
