Culture Club members have the chance to step back in time once again with the Time Bandits on Saturday, January 30 at 11am, for a walking tour of the ancient market town of Hexham, seat of the ancient Liberty of Tynedale with a long and colourful history from Romans to Rioters.
The tour will be paying particular attention to the infamous Hexham Massacre of 1761 when some forty-five people were shot down by the North Yorks Militia during a civil disturbance, a worse atrocity than the more famous Peterloo Massacre of 1819.
Please note the tour is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.
