| Artist Eva Bauer welcomed Culture Club members into her artistic world in a special open studio event on Tuesday evening. Eva uses inks, varnish and acrylics on differing surfaces. The choice of medium and colour is used to express mood and emotion. Her work has evolved into two distinct types of painting. While both methods involve a spontaneous approach, their visual outcome is very different. Born in Germany, Eva moved to Newcastle upon Tyne in 1997 to study art. Following a foundation course at North Tyneside College she completed a Fine Art Degree (BA. Hon’s) in June 2001 at Northumbria University. Since then she has been a practicing artist based the Mushroom Works.
